Our approach
Our Gentle Approach
Patient, respectful hair care, planned around what feels comfortable for you.
How visits work
What you can expect
Every person is different. These are the ways we work to make a visit feel comfortable and respectful.
We listen first
We start by asking about your preferences, and we keep listening throughout the visit.
We ask before touching
We ask before touching hair and before bringing in any tool, every time.
We explain each step
You hear what is coming next before it happens, so there are fewer surprises.
Breaks and a pause signal
You can ask for a break at any point. We agree a pause signal together, such as a word or a hand gesture.
A support person can join
You may have a person you choose stay with you, where appropriate for the visit and the location.
You can pause or stop
You are free to pause or stop the appointment. Nobody needs to explain or justify it.
Safe seating and access
We plan around safe seating and your access needs before the day of the appointment.
Preferences
Things we can talk through
Tell us what helps, and we will plan around it. You can raise any of these before the visit or during it.
- Tool sounds
- Scents and products
- Capes and coverings
- Water temperature
- Heat from dryers
- Touch preferences
Open to everyone
Comfort considerations are available across all of our services. There is no compulsory disability surcharge, and you do not need to share a diagnosis to ask for what helps.
We will always do our best to make a visit calm and comfortable, but we cannot promise that an appointment will be free of distress or that every service can be completed. If it is not working, we can pause, change the plan or stop.
We provide hair care and grooming only. We do not offer restraint, sedation, medical advice or clinical treatment.
Let us plan with you
Share what helps, or ask for a consultation before booking. You can also call us at any time.
